a quarter of a century isn't that long of time

To today at 7:43am I turned 25. I remember being about 6 and thinking how old 25 was; I thought it was REALLY old, but now I realize it's so not!

Anyway, as most of you know, ROGER ALWAYS SPOILS ME. Check out this sweet cake he made for my birthday... *There are 25 candles and if you look close enough, they're in the shape of an "8" and a "3" signifying the year I was born--1983... Thanks Rog! Also, Roger got me Mulan (I LOVE this movie!!!) and some of my favorite candy and soda pop. Also, he got me the coolest present ever! A Nikon D40! (thanks Mike, Nathaniel, and Heidi for all your help and advice!!!) I had been saving with my "allowance" for a bit, but Roger gave me his so I could have it a few months sooner, what a sweetie:) I am SOO stoked about this present!

Today we went with Rogers sisters that live in our ward (and whom we do pretty much everything with, they're our best friends) up Provo canyon, had a picninc and used my new camera to take pix. Anyway, here's some of my favorite pix that I took... enjoy!

my hot husband, I just LOVE this picture of him... it wasn't even posed, I just shot it...and my little buddy Reed (Jeff and Lois's son)

I love my camera! I just uploaded both of these pix, I didn't edit lighting or anything. I'm so excited to learn more about photography and take some cool pix.

Thanks Roger for a GREAT birthday! And thanks for being the best, I love you!

last few pix of Seattle

So, although it's been awhile, here are a few more pix of me in Seattle...

My cool roomates in the office
I miss these girls

At Kidd Valley... They had these AMAZING pinapple shakes Britt and I on a ferry with downtown Seattle in the background
a giant tea cup (there wasn't really anything in it)
...good till the last drop...
Cherice and I did a session at the Seattle Temple
my roomates (except Britt who was MIA) and Jamie at Green Lake
Okay, so I went on this tour of "underground seattle" and I had seen these purple things in the sidewalk when Roger came out and we walked to the baseball game... turns out, they're sky lights!!!
Here it is from underneath... they're chipping, and some are worse than others, but what a cool idea...
this is one that they've taken down, but this is what it used to look like, and they would glow and make the underground ever brighter... pretty cool
